SKAVBERGET

Tromsø
Troms, Norge

Stone Age rock carving, painted.

The Skavberget rock carving is located on the island of Kvaløya, right next to the coastal road. The carvings are located on two panels. Skavberget 3 is a marked site next to the car park. It depicts cervids, among which a human figure and a porpoise can be identified. Skavberget 1 & 2 is situated on private garden, so the site is not open to visitors. On the left there are two human figures, one of whom is holding a round object with a handle. In the centre of the panel, there is what appears to be the lower body of two male figures with emphasised genitalia. To the right of these is probably a bear.

Skavbergetin kalliopiirros sijaitsee Kvaløyan saarella aivan rantaa myötäilevän tien vierellä. Kuvioita on kahdessa kallioseinämässä. Skavberget 3 on viitoitettu kohde parkkipaikan vierellä. Paikan kuvioiden joukossa on kaksi ihmishahmoa, joista toisella on kädessään varrellinen pyöreä esine. Kuvakentän kdéskellä on ilmeisesti kahden mieshahmon alaosa korostettuine sukuelimineen. Näiden oikealla puolella on ilmeisesti karhu.
