Prehistoric rock paintings and carvings.

There are two types of rock art at Sandhalsan: Stone Age paintings and probably Bronze Age carvings. On the left there is a nice painted elk. On the left side of the elk are carvings: a boat and two humans with spears. There are more carvings overlapping the elk, but they are not that clear. Some meters right from the elk are more paintings: fragments of a whale and an elk. Further right there are geometric figures in at least two panels.

Sandhalsanin kalliossa on kahden tyyppistä kalliotaidetta: kivikautisia maalauksia ja luultavimmin pronssikaudelle ajoittuvia piirroksia. Maalausalueen vasemmalla reunalla on hieno maalattu hirvi. Sen vasemmalla puolella kallioon on hakattu venekuva ja kaksi keihäin aseistautunutta ihmishahmoa. Piirroksia on myös hirven päällä, mutta ne erottuvat heikommin. Pari metriä hirvestä oikealle on lisää maalauksia: katkelmalliset valas ja hirvi. Etäämmällä oikealla on vielä geometrisia kuvioita ainakin kahdessa kohdassa.
